Haha. Both are needed and should be well appreciated by the NY faithful. It's about damn time, imo.

I hate to see the old Yankee Stadium go. It brings back a lot of memories when I use to go there as a kid. I saw Mantle, Catfish Hunter, Reggie Jackson, Thurmon Munson, Bobby Murcer play there when I was a little kid.

But I guess it's time for a change.

^ If that's the case then it needs major renovation. I mean major. Just an all around dirty stadium. It's rich with history but trust me, not clean at all.

Its not being teared down. Most of the rumors around here indicate that its going to be turned int a city landmark and a museum of Yankees history where the field can still be used for big college games.

I love Yankee Stadium so much and as mad as I'm gonna be when they move into the new stadium.... deep down I know its probably for the best.

Althought we do lose one hell of a homefield advantage with a new stadium plus tickets are gonna be even harder to get as they cut out 4,000 seats.

For the Yankees to not play in THE Yankee Stadium is just, well, blasphemy.

Hopefully the "magic" will still be there.

They already did that 30 years ago. As much as I hate to say it, it's time for a new stadium.

My solution would've been to take the foundation of Yankee Stadium and use that as the basis for a new stadium. That way they don't have to lose the mystique as much as I think they will.

Of course the Yanks would have to play a season or two at Shea while this is going on.
