You basically hit the nail on the head..in '69, I was 11...and really, really new at getting into baseball. Yeah, I got the recorded album highlights, I've seen the videos and I VAGUELY rememebr parts of that World Series. I remember VERY little of the goings on in that regular season...

My dad was an A-1 fan...like most Brooklyn Dodgers fans were.

I selected '86 because unlike '69, I remember and watched probably about 90% of that season...and ALL of the post season.

but in terms of the most sentimental/impactful moment...no doubt, the 1969 Mets were it! And those 'Big, Bad Birds of Baltimore' just couldn't get it done.

the '86 WS was a better moment then '69? I find that hard to believe unless you were too young in '69 to appreciate it.

I remember that 86 Mets team for other reasons. My best friend was a huge Mets fan. All I heard all day long every day was how great a pitcher Sid Fernandez was. I hate Sid Fernandez because of it, to this day.

Favorite Current Player on Team: David Ortiz and Curt Schilling easy, but if I had to choose I'd have to go with Papi.
Favorite All-Time Player: Its tough. I'd like to go with Nomah or Pedro but these guys leave and look like jerks doing it so I'm going to have to go with Ortiz again.
Best Team Moment: Obviously the 2004 playoffs as a whole, but if I had to pick one instance it would be the ground ball to Pokey Reese in Game 7 at Yankee Stadium. Yes, even more than the Game 4 clincher against the Cards.

Favorite Moment Live: David Ortiz hitting a walk-off home-run to beat the Angles last season off Scott Shields in the bottom of the 9th. (P.S. This was exactly a week after I witnessed Trot Nixon hit a walk-off single)
