    Jose Lopez = Sick

Man this kid is killing it. Is he a rookie? He'll easily win ROY if he's eligible...Another solid find by the Mariners scouting staff.

Lopez is not eligible for ROY. Prior to this season Lopez had appeared in 111 games with 397 AB's over the previous 2 seasons.

Yeah, it took him a while to finally wake up, but I'm glad the M's gave him a chance to make it this far. He's doing awesome right now, but I don't expect much of it to last. I'd be happy with an end of .270-.275 AVG with 10-15 HRs.

I wouldn't call him sick. He has just been getting a lot of clutch singles.

Actually it's more than just clutch singles. He's slugging .451, which is pretty strong for a 22-yr old 2nd baseman, and 26 ribbies is a big surprise. There's some speculation that his career comparison at this point is a young Miguel Tejada, but he's actually ahead of where Tejada was when he was 22. He has really taken a step forward, but then again, it is just May 11th!

Lets not jinx one of the few Mariner bright spots.

He's my everyday 2nd basemen in fantasy, so I'm happy!

Alright, I take that back now. The only thing he isn't getting is walks.
