        Nice damage control from the GM of the TV station that Sutcliffe appeared on. Maybe he should take some of the blame himself?

            It doesn't, just shows that the other ESPN analysts say completely ******** things all the time without the aid of alcohol.

                Given the situation, I guess I can't really blame Sutcliffe. They shouldn't have invited him to go on air if he was drunk. Everybody in that booth should have known that sticking a mic in front of a drunk man is a bad idea (well, for image its bad, but for us the viewers its pretty funny).

                    Rob Dibble absolutely blasted ESPN about this on Fox Sports Radio this weekend... It might be sour grapes on his part, as I have no idea what was behind his dismissal from ESPN... He referred to Harold Reynolds in particular as "Some .230-something hitter who is breaking down Babe Ruth's swing", and generally held the rest of the ESPN baseball crew in low regard...

                    He did have Sutcliffe's back, though, saying that he's one of the few guys there that he respects, and actually knows what he's talking about...

                        It was a local broadcast here. You could tell Sutcliffe was hammered from the jump. I can't believe they let him on the air.
