    pitching is key... We have the best hitting team in baseball but our pitching sucks... thus look at our record... of course I'm confident that we will eventually turn it around but for now we are just terrible.

      I agree. That's why I didn't mention Detroit in my earlier post and focused on Cincy's pitching staff.

      I really like the arms that Detroit has in that rotation. I don't know if they can keep it up for the entire season, but some of those guys are just nasty.

        Who expected Robertson and Maroth to be pitching at this level??? I don't think anyone did. Just look at their track reconds....They will come back down to earth soon. Bondermen on the other hand should improve over the course of the season. Kenny Rogers will pitch solid all year.

        The Tigers have a solid pitching staff but it's not good enough to win the division unless Verlander and Zumaya pitch GREAT all year.
