Then we could have Floyd, Andruw and Sheffield in the outfield. Move Chiper to 3b. The Braves are one of the teams that he could possibly go to.

If Ted still owned the team he would of spent the money to keep Glavine and Maddux and still spend more if needed.

As much as I would like to see Chipper back at third, I don't think this is going to happen either. I just don't think the finances are there. Maybe a Ortiz/Giles/someone else for Vlad and then move Sheff to Left and Chipper back to third. Then pick up Travis Lee. A guy can dream. They'd probably have to give up Millwood to even have a prayer at getting Vlad though.

Vlad isn't going anywhere. If he was, then there would have been serious talks with his name in them at the meetings. The Expos need to dump salaries, but they won't dump their superstar OFer. Besides, considering what they want for Colon or Vazquez, I don't think any team could afford what it would take for the Expos to even listen in regards to Vlad.

I believe that the Mets just signed Floyd. I heard this over on ESPN. Don't know much on the details, but the Red Sox get some conditional draft pick or something.

I believe it's a 4 year deal. All he has to do is pass the physical.
