Yeah, I wouldn't think that Pudge would do this. But right now, he hasn't been offered a contract that he likes, so this might be his best opportunity to get the money he wants. Either way, I just can't see Pudge leaving the Majors for Japan, but you never know.

I think it's negotiating leverage. The agent did the same thing when the Cubs were talking with Dusty Baker. He said they had to have deeper wallets to get Baker and less than 24 hours later, Baker got more money.Comment
