Should JJ Putz make the All Star team?

I know what everyone in Seattle thinks, and I just saw him throw some nasty stuff in Arizona...but do you guys think that JJ Putz should make the All Star team?

I haven't seen him pitch live, but he's ripping it up for my fantasy team.

Will he? Not sure.

Papelbon and BJ Ryan are locks. I see Ozzie taking Jenks, and I find it hard to believe that Rivera would be left off the team. Therefore it comes down to does Ozzie take 5 closers.

Never seen him pitch, but his numbers are pretty impressive. I think he deserves to go, but would need to check out some other numbers from the AL.

There are too many guys ahead of him that deserve to go more than he does, so No, he doesn't go.

As much as I'd love to see him go, and think he deserves it, I dunno if he'll get picked.

I'd take Papelbon, Ryan, Rivera and Nathan over Putz. You also have to assume Ozzie will take Jenks, even though he might not be the most deserving.

What camulos said. Otsuka is also deserving of a spot (not sure if he is over Putz though) but he likely won't go. There are going to be a lot of snubs in the AL this year as it seems like a lot of the best players are in the AL (just look at the outfield position and some of the guys who won't be going).

While Putz deserves to be an all star he won't make the team. The Mariners will likely be getting only one all star rep. and that will be Ichirio. Guillen is likely to take 3 Closers and Since Tampa Bay's (Scott Kazmir) and Detroit's (Kenny Rogers, maybe Jeremy Bonderman) reps are likely to be pitchers there may not be room for Putz on the roster.

I think Mariano Rivera will get left out, also Akinori Otsuka.

Jenks (tied for AL lead in Saves) will go mostly because of Guillen. And Look at what Paplebon (0.45 ERA, 24 Saves) and Ryan (0.47 ERA, 21 Saves) are doing, with these numbers i can't see how they don't make it.

Unfortuantely for the Jays, with Ryan and Halliday likely going it probably means Vernon Wells and Alexis Rios will end up as all star snubs.
