Went to the Mariners game last night...

My buddy is part owner of a suite, so we got to sit up there. (My GF and I bought the cheapest tickets, and then you can just go into the suite level if you have Suite Passes).

Well anyways, what an awful game! Start time was 7:05. So, it started right around there, maybe a few minutes later...and it ended by like 8:45! The Rockies only had to face 27 Mariners! (Two hits, two DPs, no walks)

    Josh Fogg was the SP!

    M's lose 2-0.

Ever been to a game like that?

It took about that long to find my car in the parking lot after the Marlins game last night.

crappy game? Fogg was on fire. Whether you're an M's fan or not, you had to respect what Fogg was doing last night. It was kind of annoying, though, that after 5 straight wins from the M's, they lost like that. However, you can't just blame them for running into some really amazingly good pitching last night.

I went to a Yankees-Indians game one time that we got there late, after the first inning. The Yankees scored all 3 of there runs in the first, and won 3-2, so that was kind of boring since we missed all the action.

The lowest scoring game I've ever been too was in 1999, Yankees-Red Sox, Pedro vs. Pettitte. Pedro struck out 17, and the only hit he gave up was a Chili Davis homerun. Red Sox won 3-1 I believe. That one wasn't boring at all.

All but one Sox game I've been to has been boring because they always lose, and it always seems to be a blowout.

The only game I've enjoyed was Pedro's complete game two years ago, his first one in a few years, and his last one in a Red Sox uniform. It was awesome being 10 rows behind home plate for that.

Am I missing something? That looks like a typical game to me.

The only thing similar to this is once i went to a Jays game really late...I only saw the last 3 innings. At least the guy was kind enough to let me and my sister in.

Last season I saw the Mariners beat the Angels 1 to 0 thanks to a dominating performance by Ryan Franklin. I think it was the one night the roids were actually working for him. Either way the Angels should have felt ashamed. The game questioned my need to ever watch baseball again.

Well gee, the M's won 5 straight games before that one, so I would tend to want to give them the benefit of the doubt before declaring that Fogg is a joke, and that he couldn't POSSIBLY have done that unless the M's weren't doing their jobs. Being that they won again tonight, it tends to suggest that Fogg was just really on the other night. You can't hit the ball if the pitcher pitching it is on fire, and I'd be suprised if anyone would argue that after the way the M's have been playing over the last month.

You can't judge a team based on one game.

Yes, it was an M's win, but still a horrible game to see in person. Back in early '01 or '02 I saw the M's play the Angels in about 45 degree weather in Safeco. Ramon Ortiz was on the mound for the Angels, the only run he gave up was a McLemore triple and score on a throwing error. Brutal game in cold, windy weather.

                              Coldy and windy would suck.

This game was sunny and hot. But, we were sitting in the suits, so the sun was in our eyes until about the 5th inning.
