    I got plenty of autographs

Last night I went to the Baybears game (AA forthe Padres) they was playing the West Tennesee Diamond Jax (AA Cubs) I had stadium club seats first row field level next to the Jax dugout I brought a Official Baseball and a sharpie hoping to get som autographs and I scored. I got Brandon Sing, Scott More, Eric Patterson (who I talked to for a while) Carlos Vasquez, Gary Cates, Brian Dopirak, Miguel Negron, Nic Jackson . Earlier this year I had a ball signed by the entire Bay Bears roster including Kenard Jones, Goerge Kottaras, and Cesar Carillo

I used to live in Fairhope so I've been to a few Baybears games before. I was at the game they won the Southern League Championship in like '98 I think.

Only player I've heard from that list is Kottaras, a catcher. He's supposed to be one of the Padres' top prospies.

He's also our very own Nivek's school/neighbourhood friend from way back.

Interesting.. I was just looking at his AA stats for 2006. Pretty solid numbers for a catcher: .277/.395/.441. I'd like to see him in a Red Sox uniform. Maybe Theo can talk Towers into taking Seanez back for this guy?

I almost caught his HR ball in the All Star Future's Game. He really blasted one.

I live in Peoria IL and we have the Cubs A team here. This weekend Justin Upton was here. I got 5 things signed by him. Though he will not sign on the sweetspot.

Also if any of you are Red fans then Im sure you are aware of Jay Bruce... This guy is 19 and is the best player in the league. Went to the all-star game last month and got tons of autos there.

I went to a Kane County Cougars game a couple weeks ago when they were playing Dayton and I saw him play. He hit one a mile, but it was foul. Next pitch, he got hit in the head.

Looks like I was perhaps a month away from predicting the Red sox acquiring Kottaras. Lawl.

According to ESPN's Buster Olney, the Red Sox and Padres are nearing an agreement on a David Wells trade.
The Red Sox are targeting George Kottaras, which would be an excellent return if they could pull it off. Kottaras certainly doesn't rank with Matt Kemp, who isn't going to be unavailable, but he is a top-100 prospect. Aug. 30 - 10:35 pm et

Eric Patterson has been a pleasant surprise. I didn't expect him to develop this quickly. Hopefully he is better than his brother.
