Re: Hochevar holding out again.
I actually think Hochevar is going to be much better than Andrew Miller. I've just never been that impressed with Miller. He seemed to struggle everytime he pitched against better competition. I think that's partly why Miller was the 5th pitcher taken in the draft.
Hochevar needs to get into camp. 1 missed season was bad enough, now he might hold out for the 2nd year?Comment

Ah, a Boras(s) client.
Seriously, MLB needs to get with the times and have a cap and sliding salary structure that all the other major sports have with their drafts so you don't get silly situations like this so often.

Re: Hochevar holding out again.
Seriously, MLB needs to change the rule so that if you take a player you permanantly hold his rights. None of this going back into the draft crap. If you draft a HS senior and he goes to college, you hold his rights. If you take him as a junior out of college and he goes back for his senior year, you hold his rights. I am sick of these primodonna brats being able to pull this crap. If you do this, bad teams may actually have a chance to improve through the draft, as it stands right now what good is it for KC to get the #1 pick when the kid refuses to sign and can simply go back the next year?Comment

I think the rule should be that you hold the rights for 4 years. That means if you draft a kid out of HS, he has to make the choice to go to college or go pro. If he chooses college he can't come out early. That would also RUIN this dickhead's career. If the Royal's held his rights for the next 4 years, he would be out of multiple millions of dollars.Comment
