    Sabermetrics Experts?

I just recently read the book Moneyball. I am very interested with this "science" called Sabermetrics. I have been reading up on Bill James and Voros McCracken, however I could still consider myself a beginner.

Does anyone know where i could get a good start and comprehend it all? Or could someone personally explain it to me?

Start here. What I did was print all of them out and stapled them, when I had free time I would just read them. They are all very helpful and helps you out with the basics. That section is free, if you dont want to make the 30 dollar yearly subscription to BP, then I think it is like 4 bucks a month, order it for a month and see if you want to keep it going. Also, I know the science channel had a Sabermetric special on a week ago or so, I am sure it will be on again, just check you TV listings. Also, over at my forums in the link below, we have a sabermetrics forum where you can ask questions and read articles, we have alot of people that could help you out with it.

If you really want to learn about it, you can take a class from Rob Neyer, ESPN's resident sabremetrics writer. It only costs $1,000.

edit: by the way, I find their "Concept of Clutch" to completely wrong. You can read it and decide for yourself, but while sabremetrics certainly now plays a huge part in baseball, not everything they do is golden.

Are you interested in learning about the Runs Created stat? Or perhaps Secondary Average or Isolated Power?

I'll try to tell you as much as I know about them... for a small fee.

Hah I was kinda joking, I mean, $1,000 to take a sabremetrics class. Please. If you read enough of it, you can pretty much figure out the rest.

Is there a stat the opposite of Runs Created? Sort of like a runs allowed? It would probably have to be a hybrid between pitchers stats and defensive stats.
