World Series Baseball comments and ?'s

Just got a Xbox for X-mas and after hearing all you guys talking about baseball and the major 4 that are coming out soon ( not soon enough). I had to run out and get WSB and to my pleasure this game is just off the hook, me and my bro just cant stop playing. I have to admit that I was playing Triple play year after year and I finally had enough of there BS!!! (wont touch MVP until I hear some feedback from peepz in this forum)

I'm just amaze how fluid the game is, and the graphics are killer!! I'm a Dodger fan and B.Jordan looks remarkable life-like, its obvious that sega worked on some players faces more than others but I'm sure they will make a harder push on trying to get more faces accurately correct.

Just had a couple of questions about the game..(got it preused at funcoland no book ) is there a speed burst button on D or running the bases? and how do i wear like my dodger blue jerseys in franchise mode or do they automatically put them on? I only see classic and standard in the options screen. Also if they are any tips I need to know please post them cuz anything will help without a book. It sucks learning on the fly when its the first time u played this game from this series

Havent played ASB yet only had xbox for a week, is ASB a must rent 2? I'm hearing a lot about this game next year 2, but I already know i'm getting WSB and I've been playing for a total of 3 hours

Man, I'm right there with you, WSB is the best baseball game I've ever played. Honestly, I don't see how you would like it, and then play and like ASB 2003. To answer your questions, there isn't a speed burst button, and there aren't alternate jerseys, every team has 1 classic jersey. In this year's version of WSB, each team will have 6 different uniforms. WSB is a awesome game, and from what I've read and heard WSB 2K3 is gona be incredible, can't wait...

No speed burst on offense or defense (none planned for this year).

No alternate uniforms, if I remember correctly. ASB 2003 had the most types of uniforms, including all alternates, of any of the baseball games.

I'd definitely try out ASB -- both WSB and ASB look to have play mechanics similar to this year's versions, so if you're deciding which game to get, trying the current versions is probably the best way of deciding which you will like better (until the games actually come out, anyway).

Yeah, I would stick to WSB. All-Star was ok. The only thing I like about it was that you could create your own team and you had to warm up your bullpen before bringing them in. However, one look at WSB and it was at first site. It made AS seem boring. Besides, there is little background atmosphere in AS. Stick with WSB.....at least this year.

I thought WSB came close last year but in the end fell short. This is just my opinion. I felt there was not enough variety in hits and the baserunning AI was flawed. Plus, I'm not a fan of cursor based hitting. I did hear that there is an option to take off the cursor this year. I hope it gets the job done this yer. Why no online play Sega!!!???

In the end wsb was just too easy. Theres no way I could actually play a whole season because I ended up shutting out the cpu almost every game.

Can we still keep our fingers crossed for the 2K3 version or is it a forgone conclusion that it won't make it in at this point in the game's development?
