I also heard ASB does. With my schedule, that could very well be my deciding factor this year.

Why ever sports game cannot implement this great feature is a joke.

Eagles Fan, I agree with ya 100%. I heard ASB and WSB are going to have it. I hope HH has it also. I went off on this very subject a couple of weeks ago on trying to finish a friggin 18 inn game after midnite w/ a 5:30am wake up call for work. This should be an absolute no brainer for ALL games period

Well, I refuse to trust anything on the feature list of WSB until a press conference is called to confirm it. Kind of like Parcell's. They also said it would be there last year, kind of like Parcells told the Bucs

I think you were the only one expecting it in last year's WSB, seeing as how it was never on any feature list. Maybe if you had been there to show people how easy it was to do, they could have put it in.

It depends on the game. First, doing just about anything on the PC is easier than on a console. Second, every game is different. What is easy to do in one may be difficult in another. Also, realize that when you get one feature, you're giving up something else you could have done with that time and money.

The business of video games (and entertainment in general) is unusual. CDs that cost $10 to put together (paying the artist, producers, musicians, label, etc.) are sold for the same price as CDs that cost $2 to put together. Video games that cost $12 million to make sell for the same as video games that cost $1 million to make. In other industries, if you want better stuff, you pay more money. If you're buying a car, you pay extra for added features like leather, automatic transmission, CD player, and so on. Video games don't work that way. How many people would want in-game saves if it cost an extra $5? Online play for another $15? Aside from the nightmare that trying to make different versions of the game would create, you'd be pretty upset if you had to pay extra cash for things you're used to getting as part of the basic package.

Unfortunately, that means the only ways to break even in this industry are to a )make games on the cheap (not an option for big sports games) or b) sell lots of copies. Since we all like to have jobs, that means the features that take priority are the ones that would appeal to larger numbers of people (and cause them to buy the game).

Up until recently, in-game saves hasn't been one of those features that lots of people wanted. Now it is. And most games are adding it. But if you were wondering why games don't always add features you want them to, well, now you know.
