That is too bad for the Mets. I can see why the Padres backed out, but it seemed like the only reason we got Perez from the Pirates was so we could move him to the Padres. I wonder how late they went before they backed out. If it was already after they agreed to the deal the Padre GM has got some issues.

Minaya just talked on WFAN.

He says Sanchez will not be back IF he needs surgery. If he doesn't he says there's a chance he may make it back.
