I dunno, the Marlins aren't exactly pushovers. I know they have a bad record and all but they play tough and don't roll over for anybody.

I am not saying they are bad. Just after you get beat that bad, it can cause some problems! The good teams raise above it. And the other teams don't! We will see what the Dodgers will do.

Its just one game in which the Marlins had their best pitcher starting and the Dodgers had Hendrickson. Cabrera went off on them, and that happens. I think theyll be fine.

However, Ethier has steadily declined ever since I put him on my fantasy team.

You would think an imposing figure like Hendrickson (6'9), would throw alot faster than 87 MPH...but in any case, he was solid in his previous 3 starts, and he was bound to fall back to earth.

Read what I stated above. I'll also mention the fact that the Dodgers swept the Reds at Cincinnati by VERY comfortable margins.

The "The NL West is an inferior division" argument is pure BS and the stats do not bear you out.
Notice how I said they wouldn't have an easy time against the Mets and Phillies. They are 4-3 against Philly and 1-2 against the Mets so far this season. Small sample sizes so I really shouldn't even be bringing it up. The only reason why I will is to show you that the Dodgers have beat up on the Marlins and Nationals (who hasn't?).

A bit unfair to bring up Cincy since they swept the Reds after the Dodgers improved. The Dodgers are better than the Reds right now (and you know that I already had a hard time even mentioning Cincy in this, but I did. I probably shouldn't have). I wonder, though, why you failed to mention the Dodgers wonderful record against the Cardinals.

Regardless, every argument you make is to defend the Dodgers ability to play baseball well. I never disagreed with this. What I said and will continue to say is that the Dodgers are playing in a weak division. If the Dodgers played anywhere else they would not be in the pennant race. I stand by that.

When an entire division is playing basically .500 baseball across the map it's a weak division overall.

Am I saying that the Padres are worse than the Braves? Of course not. The NL East has two of the weakest teams in baseball. So does the NL Central. The West doesn't have any bad teams, but they don't have any good ones either (besides the Dodgers...after the trades).

But, there is one thing I will agree with totally. The NL is weak overall. We all already know this.
