    Scary moment at Wrigley!

I was just watching ESPN 2 where they're summing up baseball games after the Dodgers/Padres game, and there was a clip where Phillies' players Chase Utley and Aaron Rowand clipped each other in a way where... I must honestly say... I haven't seen a hit more brutal in the last few years like this one.

I'll have to find a video for it. In the meantime, if you saw it... what was the final report on their status after leaving the game?

    EDIT: Found it

The collision between Mike Cameron and Carlos Beltran last year was by far the worst one I've ever seen.

I wonder what happened, because it looked like Rowand was about to stop as Utley called him off, then just went full speed ahead.

I'm not talking about in resulting injury, though. I'm just talking about the effect. Look at how far Utley's glove flew off, and look at the way Rowand hit his head on the ground.

I mean, the Cameron/Beltran one was terrible looking... but there's nothing where I see it by and far the worst looking one.

Did Utley end up staying in the game?

I've seen the Utley/Rowand one, I just don't think it's worse than the Beltran/Cameron collision.

How is Utley's arm not broken?

Rowand broke his ankle on the play. Out at least 5 weeks.

The Phillies now have a much worse OF defense, a weakened lineup with one viable RH hitter (Burrell, who stinks), and a worse bench than we already had.

                This is a huge loss.

I might be wrong, but I just watched SportsCenter, they said it's only a sprained ankle after the X-rays...

I agree, while both collisions look bad Cameron/Beltran hitting head to head going full speed diving is worse IMO.

15-day DL, fractured ankle. The Phils just announced this today. Out 4-6 weeks.

Rowand is nuts, he wont be able to handle too much baseball if he keeps running into walls or slamming into people.

Cameron/Beltran was worse IMO. I also think Andruw Jones running over Marcus Giles was more brutal than the Utley/Rowand collision.

No kidding. He's a *******. He looked straight at Utley and then started up again. He could have really injured one of the two really good players on the team all because he's a moron.

Rowand is a large part of the Phillies' team too, man.
