    Dan Uggla...

...has just tied the MLB rookie record for homers by a 2B. What a year for this Rule 5 draft pick-up. I would say he is one of the three best 2B in the NL right now.

I'm pretty sure he was taken from the Diamondbacks.

He's having a great season, rookie of the year in my book.

        Yep. Diamondbacks.
ROY IMO. Only he and Zimmerman from the Nats should even be considered.
        What a pickup.

If Uggla were to win the NL ROY award he would become the first rule 5 pick to ever win the award in either league.

24 HR and 85 RBI (Uggla) from the two-spot in the lineup is very impressive. Those are the best power numbers of any NL 2B next to Utley. I would say Durham is having a better year this year since he has a higher OBP and SLG. You could also throw in Hanley Ramirez for consideration. He had the highest VORP among rookies last I checked, and will reach 50 steals.

I think the ROTY is going to a Marlin or Zimmerman. There's just too many rookies for Josh Barfield and Cla Meredith to compete against.

They might take a couple of third place votes though. Ah good old third place votes.

Meredith is having a great year. Not many awards go to set-up men though.

Yeah I know, I really don't see any of the rookies here in SD standing a chance in the ROTY voting. There are players more deserving even though Barfield has been solid as Loretta's replacement and Meredith has been nails...

Now if only Bochy would start using him in the eighth instead of Linebrink, who I think should be traded before his value plummets, he has not been good this year.
