The Braves took a big step towards the World Series today by NOT signing Keith Lockhart. Things are starting to look up already.

I'll have to disagree....I liked Lockhart, he provided us with lots of big hits. But his loss still wont hurt that much. We got DeRosa and Giles now.Comment

I don't agree with all the Braves roster moves this off-season, but I have to say that anything different is better. Even if we don't make the playoffs, different is still better. There were just too many old veterans who were used to winning, used to the feeling of not winning in October, used to keeping things the same year in and year out. Guys like Fick and Hampton are going to light a fire under some lazy asses this spring I'm hoping... they might even become an exciting team to watch again, like they were before '96.Comment
