Actually, it's not. The First Amendment is supposed to protect the press from situations like this.

Actually, its not. Freedom of the press is only the freedom to publish, aka press. The freedom of the press is implicitly the freedom of the PRINTING PRESS. Those that label themselves as the press have no more rights than anybody else to do anything.

The rest that you see is an invention and contrivation by the press themselves to enable themselves a right that does not exist.

The bottom line is these guys made money off something that should have never been leak and that is wrong, no matter what you say lol. Regardless of it being Bonds lol.

Yes, nobody should be terribly upset these guys are in jail because that's the way things work and pepole full well know this and understand it. Now, your little syringe using home-running hitting buddy should be the cell next to them for much longer. I appreciate guys like these and their work but they know the territory they deal in. Its just sad that jerks like Bonds get away with this crap and in some respects is aided by their anti-celebrity.

See you have it out for Bonds and you have you right too! But these guys wrote a book from sealed documents. That to me is more wrong. But that is just my opinion lol.

I think the bottomline is that both are illegal. There really isn't one that's more right or more wrong. A very extreme example - it's like saying Person A killed someone with a knife. Person B killed someone with a guy. Which is more wrong? Neither. They both committed terrible acts.

Laws are made to be flexible and change when necessary. I think these guys going to jail is bullspit. Need I remind people that it used to be legal to have slaves? With an argument that the law is the law then many wrongs would still be ongoing. It is one thing for Bonds to try to take these guys to court for slander if that is what happened or if they were reporting for the government and were guilty of fraud. This is ridiculous and I hope some hot shot lawyer makes a name for him/herself defending the freedom of speech.

actually, using the information was perfectly legal, otherwise they would've been arrested and convicted when the book was released.

What's illegal is that they were subpoened to testify in court as to who gave them the information. They refused to talk, and that's contempt of court, which is illegal. Please get your facts straight.
