I get more excited for baseball games than any others as well, so this year should be great with so many different titles coming out.

By timing I mean you swing when the ball is going over the plate. Not sure why it's referred to that, because, well, cursor-based is timing too....

High Heat is more than just timing, as it also is location to an extent. You have to aim (up, down, left, right, etc) the swing and time it right. It is not as simple as "just wait to swing."

I'm still very interested to see what MS can do with Inside PItch, as long as it's online anyway, but having it come out so far after all the other games is a major disadvantage for it. Especailly considering the fact that there is little to no info about the game at this point. I doubt I can stay strong to wait for it, likely I'll break down and get ASB 2004.

only problem with early release dates is the rosters will be screwed up by the time regular season starts.

Yep... Any word on if any of the games will update their rosters? Again, I wonder if, or when, XBOX LIVE will allow users to "share" files.

3DO released an updated roster via magazine demo disc last year. Hopefully there will be an option to DL rosters via XBL. Rosters won't be a problem on the PC version due to the incredible user made rosters created by the community.

It might be possible to download updates, but I doubt they will ever let people share files. It won't be a big deal as long as we can edit rosters and create players.
