Re: Reserveing your game
Just a note for preordering..
I noticed that GAMESTOP.COM is selling HH XBOX for $39.99. Everywhere else I noticed is $49.99.
Just a heads up.

Re: Reserveing your game
I've already paid in full for High Heat on the X-Box. If it is releasing the 11th, it will arrive in store either the 12 or 13, which is a day or two before my birthday. What a present!Comment

Yeah, you know, us phillies fan's have to stick together. I wonder if gamestop just made an error and didn't notice it. I'm still not sure if XBOX is the correct platform to get HH on. I've had the PC game for the past few years and enjoy that. And I don't want to pass up on this great deal for XBOX either. What to do, what to do.Comment

Re: Reserveing your game
I'll be getting the PC version definately. Always have, always will but I got the XBOX version for the multiplayer aspects. I watched the video interview of HH 2004 over at Gamespot and the XBOX version looked great...better textures etc., than the PS2 version. You can't beat the PC version for rosters and user created mods.Comment

The question then is this: Which game looks better, the PC version or the XBOX version? Also I understand that there will not be online play with the XBOX/PS2 version. Does this mean that they "Subtracted" online play from this years Computer version. I hope not.
Hopefully XBOX LIVE will soon allow users to trade roster files, etc.Comment

Re: Reserveing your game
Unfortunately the PC version won't have online play out of the box (according to Mike Saperstein - lead developer). They said maybe in a patch a while after release.
As far as the best looking version - I guess it depends on your graphics card. If you have one of the better cards out then the PC version will at worst be equal to the XBOX version. IMO, the XBox version looked a little better in the videos I saw. Only because the colors seemed a little brighter and maybe that was because of the video quality.Comment

I have a pretty nice 128meg video card. I guess I'll end up going with both versions as you have indicated. I know the High Heat community is pretty good at getting rosters updated and such. And the salary levels will also make this game as close to perfection as you can get.
Another option that I might go with is to manage only for the PC version and "play" the xbox version.Comment

Re: Reserveing your game
True that. I can't wait to see Thome in a Phillies uniform! In real life and in the game. My brother got tickets for the home opener and finale at the Vet. Should be a blast! Man, if the last game at the Vet has playoff implications that place will go nuts.Comment

Re: Reserveing your game
Agreed!!!
I got the 35 game plan this year, so I should have some seats in the new park waiting for me also. Included in that plan are tickets for the opener, but not tickets to the last game. Although I'll be there on the Fri and Sat night games (VS Braves, last series at the vet).

Re: Reserveing your game
I have a gamecube, and since my favorite game, WSB, won't be coming out this year for the cube, I'm forced to get another baseball game. Last year, I got All Star Baseball, and while I enjoyed it, it just wasn't what I was looking for in a baseball game. So a few minutes ago, I was pondering my options for this year, and then I took a look at a preview for High Heat.
DAMN. This game looks awesome. I have already decided that this will be my baseball game for the cube this year, hopefully it lives up to the preview I saw. Unfortunately, the gamecube version doesn't come out until April 11th or later, that blows!!! I want my baseball!!!!Lux y VeritasComment
