                Thurmon Munson and yes, he died in a plane crash. Pinella talked about it briefly during the ALCS on Wed night during the broadcast.

                  The sadder thing about Munson's crash from the way I heard it on the radio was that he was actually practicing takeoffs and landings. It wasn't like he was flying around for a while and crash landed.

                    Did you see the "exclusive" interview on ESPN about Munson the day that Lidle died?

                    I had absolutely no clue that two of his friends on the plane and that both survived, and were actually talking to Thurman after the plane had crashed before he passed away. Apparently his last words were, "Are you guys okay?"
