Dont do that to us fatpitcher, give us some tasty morsels. Does the game have more than four faces, it's not as big a deal for Create a player, but I notice you guys pick from the generic face pool for any player that isn't mapped in the game, so I assume that if only four faces exist, every white rookie will look like that one face, every black rookie will look like that one face etc. And every face that isn't mapped will have that same generic face.Comment

Agreed on the four faces thing. I wont use create a player if only four faces exist. I probably wont buy it unless the competition has less faces. I dont get how difficult it is to have at least 30 or 40 faces in there. Along with heights and weight. It's like they force us to wait for the fourth version of the game before it is polished. I'm guessing that at least two of the other games will have a more robust create a player, and that will go a long way this time. I cant buy any more Sega sports games unless I'm satisfied that it wasn't rushed and incomplete. Otherwise, the interview sounds cool, but in the back of my mind I'm thinking "no roster updates as promised for nba2k3, college bball2k3 wont export as listed on box, nfl2k3 has no sacks and dropped passes, ... wonder what obvious baseball element this game will miss.

Yes!! Every game seems to lack some basic feature that just makes no sense. I know no game is perfect, but how do some of these basic things get by their playtesters????
I still find I enjoy their brand of sports more so than EA's, and always come back for more. But its good to know I'm not the only one who's tired of the year-in-year-out bugs in their games.
I'm hoping that IGN's build truly is old, and would love to see a randomly generated face engine, like that used in NCAA2k3. But that's probably not gonna happen.Comment

Excellent interview Steve, great work as always. It seems like VC has taken great strides to improve almost every single aspect of WSB. I'm definently buying High Heat 2004 this year, but if WSB can deliver all it's promises, I may end up owning two baseball games this year. Fingers crossed.Comment
