    He has the option of voiding that year because he was traded in the middle of a multi-year deal. He has said he is probably coming back to Baltimore, but if he finds out he is going to be traded, he will almost definitely void the deal and become a free agent.

      Well, it's ok with Riley. Obviously, we both know that not every pitcher pans out. Hopefully, those guys you mentioned do pan out, but chances are maybe one or two will.

      I guess it comes down to priority. Perhaps the O's feel that Wright will become a very good starter "again" with Mazzone in the dugout.

      Relievers can be found much quicker than starters. I don't know. I'm just trying to explain their reasoning.
