Girardi and Leyland managers of the year.

No argument from me. Randolph probably could have won it in the NL but Girardi was very deserving. Unbelievible how a guy wins Manager of the Year and doesn't have a managing job the next year. Interesting.

Just goes to show that you could be the most brilliant or effective employee in the world, but if your manager or bosses don't like you, you're cornholed.

Agreed. Congrats to both. To bad Girardi wont have a chance to prove it was/wasnt a fluke. Its absurd he wont be in a dugout next year.

I bet Girardi will be the first guy hired when/if a team fires their manager during the season.

Anyways you can't find fault with these choices as they both richly deserved the award.

I don't think he will be back during the season. Next season at the earliest. He's stated he wanted to take a year off from managing and he's at the YES Network now announcing Yankee games.

Both were very deserving. I can't wait to see what Girardi can do with a team a little more talented.
