Aardesma is already on his 3rd team... and he's only been playing like what, 4 or 5 years? poor guy can't find a home.http://flotn.blogspot.com

Re: Cubs/Sox Trade
Aardsma has a great fastball, but he can't consistently control it. Plus, his off-speed pitches are very average at this point in his career. There was talk that he might have been the closer of the future on the North-Side, but it appears Kerry Wood could be that guy now.
Good deal for the Cubs, IMO. Thornton would have been sweet, but Kenny Williams isn't that dumb.Originally posted by billmaticRadman is more like the ******** homeless man's version of Okur.Comment

Re: Cubs/Sox Trade
I think this is a good trade for both teams. Especially the Sox. This gives Thornton more innings out of the pen, and if Don Cooper can help Aardsma with his control, like he has done with many of our pitchers, it will give us that right-handed setup man we desperately needed last season.Comment

Sox are starting to get a bunch of flamethrowers in the pen. Nice, considering the starters don't throw heat, outside of Jose once in a while.Michigan WolverinesChicago White SoxComment
