Either WSB for Xbox or MLB Inside Pitch. You forgot that one in the poll.

Quite simply, whichever game simulates the MISHAPS in baseball as much as the execution....Baseball is such an exciting game because just about anything can happen.

While alot of games last year captured the funtamentals well ( some couldnt even do that ) Hardly any of them captured the variety of miscues, mishaps and that "anything can happen" feel of the sport that makes it so much fun. However All Star Baseball was the closest.....It really added alot of variety to the gameplay. The subtle things that you dont see right away like the way the designers programmed an increased percentage of 'bad' throws when a fielder charged or rushed a ball to try and make a play....it's alot of the little unnoticed things like that which made each game so unpredicatable....And that is what I want to see expanded upon along with of course, exciting and realistic gameplay......Too many other games had gameplay that felt sterile or played carbon copy baseball from play to play, inning to inning and game to game.

I think ASB is miles ahead of the competition in bringing the realistic unpredictableness of baseball to the console, they just need to iron out some of the other wrinkles in the game. But I'm open to any game that can recreate that experience that makes each game played so unique and special

            ASB 2004 (yes)
            MVP 2003 yes)
            High Heat 2004 (yes):
            MLB 2004
            WSB 2k3 (yes):
            Slugfest (yes)
            MLB Inside Ptich (yes)

I don't have a PS2 anymore so no MLB... I only play sports games now so money is not an issue anymore. All for the Xbox, but I may even pickup the PC version of the first three also.

I'm gonna wait till I see some OS impressions before I make up my mind but I would like to get one you can play online, but I hope you can pick how many innings you play cause if you played 9 innings it seems it could take a while.

ASB 2004 because last year's version was strides ahead of the previous version, especially with injuries and the franchise mode. Also, PJ Snavely, the producer, promised that there will be a roster screen outside of franchise mode, complete with an Edit Player Mode. Hopefully weather will actually affect the ball in 2004. I'm still open to WSB or MVP. I usually depend on reviews and previews to push me in a certain direction.
