Re: Dodgers keep Garciaparra
Hopefully he stays relatively healthy the next couple of years. If so, good deal for the dodgers. Does this mean their not ready to hand the reigns over to Loney? -

Re: Dodgers keep Garciaparra
Broken maybe but beaten? He breathed a lot of life into the Dodgers this past season and there are quite a few other "beaten and broken" players who get paid far more that Nomar and played less and/or performed less last seasonBoston Red Sox 2004, 2007 World Series Champions
Nomar's homer off Pedro. Those four words just shouldn't go together. Not even on a day like 6/6/6. ~Bill SimmonsComment

Re: Dodgers keep Garciaparra
I am not saying that he didn't carry the team there for a while but when it came to playoff time he was just too beaten up to really make a difference. He is like a 45 year old in a mid 30's body, face it he is an at bat away from a long stint on the DL, as are people like Griffey, Drew, Prior, Wood, etc. I hope for his sake that he can stay healthy because I like him as a player, but I would not be shocked if he didn't make it through another season.Comment
