I checked out RedsFest 2006 yesterday at the Cincy Convention Center and got to see them up close (because they were selling them already). As Borat would said, "Verrry NICE."

Thank goodness they got rid of those sleeveless uniform tops. I absolutely hate that style.

Return of Mr. Redlegs is a great addition. Every team with a mascot should have it on their sleeve.

The lettering is supposed to be new, but it really just looks like an alternate version of the look we see everywhere. I saw some Washington comparison comments. I agree.

The big lettering and names though is a nice look.

Slightly OT, but does anyone know if anywhere sells a Reds hat that is fully black (with the exception of a Red C)? Like, I mean this:

The first one is what I want. I don't believe in the altered hats... they aren't authentic enough.

I don't wear hats as much as I used to, but I agree with you.

I was never a fan of the new style hats. I always wanted mine to be completely authentic.

I even hated getting the hats with the ALCS/World Series logos on them when I bought Yankee caps in the past.

As a Reds fan, I'm glad to see they are getting back to the traditional days, however I still have some problems. The home uniforms look pretty sick, I just wish the font was a little more retro and plain. It looks a lot like the Nationals.

The road jersey is alright, but the black bill cap has to go. I mean, it's obvious they are trying to go retro, so why not just go with the all red hat on the road as well?

These were the best reds jerseys and I would have liked to seen these or something similar. In all fairness, the homes are very similar.

Yeah yeah, at least we had to trade away the hitter of the year in the minors this year to get a new 2b, and our shortstop isn't eating himself out of the position. I mean it was a smart baseball move to get rid of a 24 year old with a huge ceiling for Ramon Vaszquez because they thought Vaszquez would be better at sitting the bench and not making a disturbance lol.

button down style ,crosley field on through to river front stadium and the pullover jerseys

agreed as a little boy i loved this era of the Reds throughout the 70s what a Great time to be growing up in and around Cincinnati i have spent 2/3s of my life in florida now and enjoyed every minute but i will always enjoy my memories of that time period

all red cap on the road is a must !!!! i always hated when they added black to the uniforms in the 90s ( but i did always like the black cleats in the early 70s heck even dave concepcion's red cleats from the all star game !!)

but besides that snafu i can dig the new uni's there a nice melding of Classic Big Red Machine & Breath of Change and Hope for the Future of the Franchise

Mr RedLeg is very cool addition almost makes up for that black rim
