    Juiced Balls

Surprised I didn't see this as it became news early yesterday.

Tests on balls from McGwire's 70 HR season show larger rubber core.

Well, as long as it was standardized across the league, I don't see it being that big a deal.

Maybe MLB did it secretly to increase offense, and if that's the case, I don't think McGwire should necessarily be punished.

I'd be more curious about why the switch was made, instead of trying to take away records or mar a player's legacy.

In my mind a Yankee by the name of Roger Marris still holds the single season HR record.
