Without knowing the exact figures, I'd have to think that Utley is a bargain at $12M per.

Good move by both. And yes Utley is a bargain at that price.

The only downside is that we may never see Utley play for a winning team, which sucks because I like him as a player.

Utley is a good player. It's nice to see the Phils holding onto him.

The team actually has some upside and youth, which is nice to see. I still think Adam Eaton was a good signing, and ideally we deal Lieber to clear up a spot in the rotation for him.

The team certainly is getting better and I expect them to have an impressive year. They can definitely break the 90 win mark, which has been a hurdle they've approached, but not overcome in years past.

Hey! The Phils are a winning team!.......They don't make the playoffs...but they have more wins than losses!!!

Howard and Utley in the same line-up is dynamite. Hopefully their pitching will hold up, Freddy Garcia will definitely help.

I have been an Utley fan since he first came up to the bigs in 2003, even though he is a UCLA grad.

Bargain rate indeed. Just hope he continues to improve.

I like this move by the Phils.

Like most of you have already said in this thread, I think that the Phillies will be impressive this year. I think they have a right "mix" of players. If they can get a good season out of Burrell, I think they'll be able to make some noise.
