As far as game balance and realism goes, ASB would have had to make quite an improvement since last year to match High Heat. WSB was closer to High Heat in terms of gameplay, if only they could fix the bugs and make the AI a more offensive threat at the highest difficulty level (there will be sliders and hopefully this will fix that...but remember that NBA2K3 even with sliders is too easy for some people on All-Star).

High Heat may not have the best graphics, but I'll probably end up playing it the most. That being said, I'll be buying all of the games.

None of the baseball games have the "total package". If I had to choose, I wouldn't hasitate by taking realism/gameplay over graphics. Besides, HH's graphics are no where near as weak as they used to be.

you are right about the HH gfx....but when u see what the others are doing with the xbox...don't u wonder why HH can't have the same look?

i think we can all agree that hh plays the most realistic game..so with that said why doesn' t the development team spend the entire dev. cycle working on grahics?

I agree. Everytime 3DO ups HH's graphics they still seem to be a year behind everyone else. This year is a big improvement though. I'll have no problem dealing with the graphics or lack there of.

I think HH at one time may have had the most realistic gameplay. But I think that gap has closed big time.

HH is dropping the classic stadiums this year, thus eliminating the main reason I played their game.

They have grown stagnant. They don't listen much to their customer base. Gameplay is good, but other titles are catching up. Graphic suck, and while the hard-core fans claim gameplay is more important, it is the casual fan who buys the most....and graphics ARE important to them.

HH has been resting on their laurels the past 3 years. Unfortunately other companies are working hard making improvements, and will soon (this year or next) pass them by.

I don't mind bad graphics when the gameplay is that good but one thing I cannot tolerate is unfinished stadiums. HH for the PS2 last had several stadiums that where either unfinished or had proportional problems. The worst in the game was Comerica Park. They left the black screen where they didn't finished drawing and the centerfield wall looked to be knee-high. Some parks looked great but I can name at least ten that were offensive. I don't mind buying an ugly product but at least finish it. What I can't believe is I am still seeing this in some of the screens for this years game. They have had three years and they still......OK, I will calm down. Its like buying an ugly car with a good motor and one of the headlights missing. Thats also why I hate the squatting in ASB, it makes the game feel unfinished. Vote WSB!
