Welcome to the Professional Baseball Gaming League, the place where major league baseball players show another side of their skills as they battle it out via online video gameplay.
Founded by GGL, Boras Marketing and Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBPA), the league’s first season kicked off in December, 2006 with 14 players testing their racing game chops on Microsoft’s Project Gotham Racing 3.
The first season’s players are lead by New York Yankees star centerfielder and league commissioner Johnny Damon, and include Julian Tavarez (Boston Red Sox), Luke Hochevar (Kansas City Royals), Dallas McPherson (Los Angeles Angels), Willy Taveras (Colorado Rockies), Corey Patterson (Baltimore Orioles) Rodrigo Lopez (Baltimore Orioles), Seth McClung (Tampa Bay Devil Rays) Josh Barfield (Cleveland Indians), Craig Hansen (Boston Red Sox), Matt Holliday (Colorado Rockies), Derek Lowe (Los Angeles Dodgers), Prince Fielder (Milwaukee Brewers), and Mike Pelfrey (New York Mets)
