No classic stadiums for HH this year...

That's a killer for me. Looks like I will be giving serious consideration to WSB this year.

Big mistake by 3DO. Why take something away like this? Classic stadiums and old time unis are important to me. If HH won't offer them, there are plenty of other that will. And the other titles are gaining ground fast on gameplay (and have superior graphics to boot).

I have been a loyal HH customer in the past, but not anymore.

Bah! Classic stadiums dont bother me if I'm tryna play a franchise anyway. I just found out how good HH can be last year. Bu tif they dont improve thier graphics up to par with the comp. I'm ditching them.
As popular as HH is, its slowly fading to the bottom of the pile on a lot of ppls list. Because they have'nt shown anything to impress us yet.

As long as they have the same tight gameplay(with beefed up graphics and such), 3DO will have my money again this year.

The stadium thing doesn't bother me because once ur in ur franchise u cant play in them anyway, and if thats a problem than get WSB or ASB

People have different criteria...I think franchise is a waste of time, but that's my opinion. It is no better or worse than anyone else's.

As long as a game is fun, that is good enough for me. I could care less if the animation on a double play looks true to life or not. I like the classic stadiums, the old unis, and old time players. In HH on the pc, I only played with a 1930 roster.

I'm only pointing out the classic park omission for the benefit of those people that like them....if they are on the fence about which title to buy, it may make a difference in their final decision. If two games offered good gameplay, but one game offered better graphics, more stadiums and unis.....which would most people choose?

The other reason is to question why 3DO would take something AWAY from their game. This is an EA Sports tactic. HH has grown stagnant over the past 3 years...other titles are catching up and will probably pass them by next year.

The gameplay of course. The unis, stadiums and graphics are nothin but eye candy. HH has been the outseller the past few years because of thier gameplay. EA has exceled in the eye candy department.
Has anyone ever picked a game from comparison by just staring at the features on the back of the box?

Some people prefer gameplay over graphics, and vice-versa. I have no problems with that. I never make fun of people's preferences in games....as long as you enjoy it, that's all that matters.

The competition is healthy in the baseball game market right now. A lot of choices, and looks like a lot of improvements. This is good for us gamers.

I could really care a less about lack of classic statiums, that's some of the problem with some of these other games, too much fluff and not enough actual gameplay. I'm lucky to complete a 162 game schedule so getting to the classic stadiums probably will never happen except when I play against my friends.
