My first instinct if I were manager would be to hide.

Seriously though, I think the #5 spot is a toss-up between Tavarez and Torres based on the end of last year. Plus, I'd make a few changes to your lineup:

    Batting Order
    1. Kendall
    2. J. Wilson
    3. Giles
    4. Ramirez
    5. Simon/Young
    6. Mackowiak
    7. C. Wilson
    8. Reese

    J. Wilson's hitting started to come around last season, Mackowiak has decent pop in his bat at times. I'm not keen on Kendall leading off, but we really don't have anyone. Maybe Reese, if he can hit consistently. I dunno.

At least the rotation is pretty good (the top 3 in particular)

      Re: St. Louis Cardinals

in an article in the St. Louis Post Dispatch Dave Duncan(cards pitching coach) said that he expected Cal Eldred to be one of the top 4 starters if he remained healthy....so i would watch that...i'm kinda worried that if he makes the team and is a starter he won't be in the game because he is non roster right now and i don't know how i would get a real game without one of the top 4 starters

also i didn't notice but ankiel is supposed to be in the bullpen this year as well (i'll have to check and see if you had that)

          Re: St. Louis Cardinals

Here's what I had for the Cardinals:
          Rotation
          1. Matt Morris
          2. Woody Williams
          3. Brett Tomko
          4. Jason Simontacchi
          5. Garrett Stephenson

          Bullpen
          1. Jason Isringhausen
          2. Al Levine
          3. Mike Crudale
          4. Jeff Fassero-*
          5. Steve Kline-*
          6. Joey Hamilton
          7. Dustin Hermanson
          *-LHP

          ?? - Rick Ankiel-*
          DL – Cris Carpenter

If Ankiel and Eldred are going to be part of the pitching staff what two pitchers are not going to make it? That's the question I kept asking myself and I can't seem to figure out who to remove from the 12 man staff. Plus, I can't see them carrying more than 12 pitchers.

              Re: Arizona Diamondbacks

Carlos Baerga signed a minor league deal with the D'backs. The only way I see him making the team would be if the D'backs only carry 6 pitchers in the bullpen. With the recent signings of Mike Jackson, Ricky Bottalico, and Ron Villone I don't see them carrying 6 relievers.

Anybody else got an opinion on Baerga?

He did lead in the AL in pinch hits, but I'm not sure where he fits on the team and who they would not carry to keep him. I guess he can keep Mark Grace company if he makes the team.

I usually don't read the Sporting News online because I have a subscription and there are someplaces you need something to read, but just can't take the computer.

Anyway I just found the link below that contains projected lineups, rotations, and bullpens for each team. The bullpens only contain the Top 4.

Depth Charts at the Sporting News

Thought it might be a good site to bookmark.
