    Slide Button ?

I wish games would add a Slide button where you can decide what type of slide to do (head or feet first).

    Re: Slide Button ?

surprisingly, Triple Play 96 (Genesis) had this feature. An aggressive head first slide and the conservative feet first slide.

I think someone mentioned there being a slide button in MVP. I could be wrong though.

yeah, I remember it being mentioned recently. It was either one of the new games or an older game.

MVP does have a slide button. The screenshot is posted in the New MVP Screens thread, I think.

Yep...MVP does have a slide button. I put up a shot of it in another thread, but no one noticed...oh well.

'Bout time a game had this
“In my lifetime, we've gone from Eisenhower to George W. Bush. We've gone from John F. Kennedy to Al Gore. If this is evolution, I believe that in twelve years, we'll be voting for plants.” - Lewis Black

Does anyone remember Roger Clemens baseball on the NES, Genesis, and SNES? In those games, you had to pick which part of the bag/plate you wanted your hand to go, and the cpu would try to guess the same location and tag you out. It was kind of fun because it was different, but it got old real quick.

Also, the ASB games on N64 had a slide button, and depending on when you pushed it, you would do either a head first or a normal feet first, pop up slide. You could also choose to slide either to the left or right of the bag and plate. It was actually really cool because it definitely had an effect on the play. You could get around the tag and get called safe if you were good. You could also miss the bag completely and have to dive back to the base.

I actually liked the slide scenes.

I also loved how they had all the fake names just slightly mixed up.
