I like Mark Cuban, I dont particularly care for the Mavs, but Cuban is such a smart business man. He runs a search engine, runs some tv type service, cant recall the name right now. As well as owning the Mavs. He also has the right idea in how to help the NBA grow, which Stern refuses to listen, since he hates Cuban for whatever reason. I've seen a few different interviews on tv with him, seems like an awesome guy. I actually e-mailed him once, didnt get a response, though he says he does read every e-mail...says he spends over half his day on the computer. I asked him to buy the Reds, while stupid Lidner was in charge. Although I really wouldnt want Cuban in the NL Central I think it would be great for him to take over a MLB team.

yea, thats it. also the search engine he owns is like a blog searcher type search engine. you type in a topic and it searches blogs with stuff related to that topic. Heres the link if you wanna check it out

I can't even dare to dream. What scares me is The Tribune reports other bidders include John Canning, who heads the Chicago-based private-equity firm Madison Dearborn Partners and is a part-owner of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Unlike Steinbrenner Cuban has a pulse. I want to see him own the Cubs it'd be a great thing for the city and for MLB as a whole.

If Selig wouldn't let George Brett buy the Royals there is no way in hell he lets Cuban buy the Cubs or any other team for that matter

It's pretty much Conflict of Interest at its finest. Selig and Reinsdorf are big buddies and Reinsdorf knows if Cuban owns the Cubs that he might actually have to open up his wallet. Something he hasn't been known to do much as the owner of the White Sox.

As a life long Cubs fan, nothing would make me happier, but I'm not getting my hopes up, because that bum baseball calls a commissioner doesn't want to upset his buddy.

Cuban would be great as the Cubs owner - his passion for winning is much more then the Tribune ever had. Dont know too much about the current owner but its obvious hes not a sports fan. I could see the Cubs win it all this year to boost that selling price though (maybe the fix will be in)
