great move!!! he's what the phillies need to do sign their young talent to long term deals. I think Thome will get Burrell some more Hr's and Rbi's added to his stats this year, I can't wait till the season starts. Maybe we can sign Curt next year from the d-backs. that would make our pitching staff un-touchable. -

He'll have competition from Thome. If Thome puts up his usual numbers,look out. A word of warning, he is a notorius slow starter,I've seen him half way through May,be absolutely terrible. But when he warms up, the bombs come in bunches. When you see him hitting with authority to the opposite field,he's getting ready to go on a tear.Comment
