Graphically this is astounding! Just a question tho, is it me or was Cameron's cap a little bit too blue? I thought the Ms caps are a darker blue colour. I also loved Marichal's high leg kick. It was represented nicely.

<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">Who cares about the cap? Safeco Field is ridiculous! There doesn't seem to be any improvement from last year. There are too many inaccuracies in that one shot alone to list. I have been to that park many times and can tell you WSB's Safeco is not true to life (ASB's, on the other hand, is beautiful).

I don't share the view WSB graphics are necessarily the best. The player's are good (in that animated zombie corpse sort of way). The grass textures and lighting are great, but as a whole WSB just seems bright, plastic, and artificial. If there is so little attention to detail at Safeco, how can I assume the other stadiums are any better?

Maybe it's me, but I like the sense of place a game like this can create. I like to feel I've seen a ball game in Boston or San Francisco even if I never do in real life. I'm sure others don't give a fig about stadiums, it's only what's on the field that counts, but the fields themselves are important to me and WSB has not demonstrated the care other games seem to.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Great graphics/Fields/uniforms+ Bad gameplay= Bad game

    Great graphics/ok fields/ok uniforms + Good gameplay=Great game

So for me if the gameplay is good ,the stadium/uniform innacuracies are after thoughts.

Can't believe that they've even managed to get Stan The Man Musial's batting stance correct (from what I can tell). I absolutely love Marichal's leg kick, Rod Carew's batting stance, and that they're doing much more than just having the legends in the game by name and stats only. Can't wait to get some of those old timers out there in a game at Forbes Field. When's this game come out again? Not soon enough..

And thanks a lot Steve for the pics. I had requested a pic of Musial's batting stance in the thread, and really appreciate Sega's/VC's putting that out there. Between this and ASB, it sure is going to be a killer year for baseball games.

Hmmm…I like baseball video games and find a message board that has active threads with lots of posters making interesting observations and having discussions that seem to have a little more depth than the typical “my game is better than yours!” tripe , so I decide to participate.

I voice an opinion. Maybe it’s not a very popular one, but it’s one I hold (while fully acknowledging many others probably feel differently).

Apparently some feel I haven’t earned the right to have an opinion, or some such garbage.

Whether it’s my first post or one-thousandth is irrelevant. Opinion, even if it’s the”emperor has no clothes” type is supposedly what a forum like this is about. Let me see people who want to discuss the topic, not just reply with that smug and tired “rolly-eyes” bull crap.
