2007 Opening Day...who's going?

I'm really looking forward to opening day this year. I have Rangers season tickets again so I'll be at the Rangers home opener April 6th. Then, I fly to Chicago April 7th and will be driving to Milwaukee to see the Cubs play the Brewers at Miller Park. Finally, on Monday I'll be attending the Cubs home opener.

I've never been to Miller Park so I'm looking forward to checking it out. The White Sox are in town on Sunday so have thought about possibly going to that game (4 games in 4 days at different stadiums) but not sure if it will work out with Easter.

So...are you going to opening day?

Yay Miller Park! I remember when Sosa was bombing HRs out of the windows in centerfield during the derby (like 550ft ish).

Let's just hope the young brew crew put a hurtin on the chubbies. Enjoy MP And hope it's warmed up here by then.

I dont know if i'll be going opening day. But you mentioned how you are going to different parks, a few years ago me and some friends were going to try to do the same and visit numerous parks over the summer, never happened. We were thinking about pittsburgh, chicago and a few other places since we're in ohio. I really need to get to Jacobs, i'm only 3 hours from Cleveland, Pittsburgh is like 4 hrs, Chicago is like 4 hrs. Would love to be able to road trip it one summer to a few different parks.

I'm probably going to be in Houston for opening day. Therefore, I am thinking about obtaining tickets to Pirates vs. Astros at Minute Maid Park. That might be kinda sweet because that park is always one that I thought looks really cool on TV.
Any Houstonians know if the park is accessible via public transportation? Not sure where I am staying in Houston yet, so I hope I can make it over to the park fairly quickly.

I'll be there April 1st, Mets at Cards, rematch of the NLCS. Just bought some tickets on ebay the other day. I can't remember the last Opening Day that I missed, and I was certainly not going to miss this one.

The O's play their opener in Minnesota this year, so I can't make it. Hopefully I can get to a game though.

Ah yes, I too am going to that game. I am a die-hard Cubs fan( are there any other kind ) but since I live in the heart of Cardinal Nation, and am being basically kidnapped to that game, I will attend. Even if its not against the Cubs, It's still opening night( I'll be rooting for the Mets that Sunday night.)

Thats a great idea, there is nothing like watching baseball in great baseball park's. I have been to Wrigley, Comiskey ( old and new, prefer old )Houston, St Louis ( new ) Cincy, Cleveland, Colorado, Kansas City.....and while Wrigley will always be my favorite, I have to say that there is something about sitting in a baseball stadium and looking over the left field wall and seeing the freaking Rocky Mountains as the sun starts to set.

I'll be at the Tribe's home opener. Only problem is it's on Good Friday. I haven't decided yet if I should risk burning in hell for all eternity and have a hot dog. But what's a ballgame without a hot dog? Hmmm...

See this is where I come back and say "that didnt work out to well last year" as we owned the Cardinals at Busch, but then Card fans come back and remind me once again that they won some type of title last year, I dont know, something about a World Series or something.

That we did.

Anyway I work on opening day and can't get off, so I'm going to the 2nd and 3rd games of the season, not the same but not bad either.
