Re: Buehrle Throws a No No
Buehrle was pretty dominant. His cutter was unhittable. Texas had a few chances at hits, but Chicago's fielders made some good plays to keep it alive. Blalock hit one about a foot short of going out, and Hairston was just barely out on a nice diving play by Crede. Buehrle was a walk to Sosa away from being perfect, and Sosa was picked off, so he still faced the minimum.
As a Rangers fan, hats off to Buehrle tonight.Comment

Re: Buehrle Throws a No No
I'd be the first to tell you how amazed I am seeing Buehrle throw a no-hitter. I always believed that he wasn't capable of throwing one because he's an aggressive pitcher. Fortunately, I was wrong and it's good to see him prove me wrong. Hopefully, this could propel the White Sox and start getting some momentum going.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

Re: Buehrle Throws a No No
nice.
the guy tore me up in MLB06 a few days ago, too....
But seriously, with all due respect....how do you lose a perfect game by walking Sammy Sosa?!?
Sammy Sosa doesn't walk....isn't it in his contract that he can swing at every pitch? Do the rules even allow him to walk? Honestly, as a cubs fan (waits for laughing to subside.....sighs...) I watched him swing at Balls 1 through 4 with remarkable and unforgettable regularity.....especially with ducks on the pond.Australian Rules Football...just sayin'Comment

Re: Buehrle Throws a No No
Although I am a Cubs fan and not a White Sox one gotta tip your hat whenever a pitcher tosses a no-hitter since they don't happen all the time.
Congratulation Buehrle.Comment

Re: Buehrle Throws a No No
what was classic is after the first inning going 1-2-3, he pointed up and smiled and said thank you....since he's been getting killed in the first inning.
He had good stuff against Oakland too, after the first inning, he retired 10 in a row. he was in the zone last night.Comment

Missed the game the first time, but I caught the replay on comcast sports net. Very great performance, would have loved to be there live.Comment

Went to my high school and the church I attended when I was younger. I'm still holding onto a hope that he pitches for the Cards some day.Comment

Re: Buehrle Throws a No No
Most of the local media here in Chicago seem to think it is a foregone conclusion that after this season he will be a Cardinal.Comment
