I saw the video clips that ESPN posted on their homepage when it happened and my favorite part, other than the actual confrontation, was when Eskin talked about being stared down in the clubhouse by Jayson Werth. LOL!

I'm sure it happened but I remember when he was a Blue Jay and he never seemed to be that type.

Well, Just because Eskin said it, doesn't mean its true. Granted I don't really know what the evidence of Werth staring him down, but Eskin is a scumbag anyway. Its one thing to rag on Manuel but Eskin has been going after him for more then just his managing since he got hired. Eskin is one of those media guys that needs to get punched a few times. The guy is a real slimball and I'd love to see him knocked down a peg or 2. If this had happend with another media member maybe i'd care a little more about it, but since it was Eskin, well, I was routing for Charlie.

Hate Eskin or not, you have to admit that he was asking a legit question. Plus, he is absolutely right about Manuel's managerial skills. They just suck.

True, but coming from someone who constantly demenans Charlie on more then just his managerial skills, and the fact that he had to bring up Pinella and other managers up in the question wasn't helpful. It was a legit question, and if someone like Conlin or Hayes had asked the question their wouldn't of been a confrontation. Yea, Charlie ain't a great manager, but he doesn't deserve to be called a dumb hick, and a dumb country boy every five minutes on the radio either. And how come Eskin never goes after Reid? Granted the Eagles are good but he makes a lot of bone headed decisions that cost the Eagles games.

The turd nugget radio host probably deserved to get a whuppin, but Manuel handled it pretty badly. Similarly to how he manages games apparently. It looks like the stress is getting to Charlie, because it doesn't help to blow up at a knucklehead radio host.

On a tangent, one of the reasons knobs on the radio want to see the Lou Piniella, pushing tables over act is because it creates interest and controversy, which they can in turn speak about, and make themselves relevant. A nice, good ol' boy from the South isn't really an interesting story.

The reality is, as long as a manager has respect from the players and wins ball games, none of the criticism will be levied. When teams start losing, the toxic negative diarrhea starts to get flung in the wrong direction. Here, the managers laissez-faire approach is called into question when I bet there are a ton of other more important reasons why they are losing..
