I like that this thread was started off by a guy that likes the Pads. Don't worry, they will be the team to beat in the NL west sooner than you think. Wait until the new yard opens up and tha cash starts flowing. No more San Diego discount, because they'll be able to afford all the guys that want to come play there. it's good to see someone feeling optimistic about the padres' future. hopefully, kevin towers, bruce bochy and the people in charge will do everything to make this thing work. once the money starts flowing in from the new ballpark, i expect the team to actually USE that money to make the team better. so with that in mind, i will use the padres and try to return the team to greatness. (just like when they wore the brown and gold... or was it yellow?).... oh yeah, i'll probably play as the oakland a's too.

They wore gold. And I do hope that John Moores will allow the money from the new ballpark to be used for the team so that KT will be able to do more in F/A signing or contract extensions so that we may keep our players that have an impact on the team and that we wouldn't have to trade them away like Woody Williams (who i think is now doing sub-par for the Cards since he left the Pads).

I'll take my Mariners, and then whatever team has the most basestealers &amp; best bullpen. Having to play smallball is what makes baseball games fun!

Right now, its a toss-up between the Cubs and Sox. I think both of those teams have about the same chances of winning their divisions, and Ive always been a Sox fan more than a Cubs fan though. I think Im probably gonna end up using the Cubs this year because of Prior, and i used the Sox last year in ASB.

CINCY....I'll be tryin' like hell to BLAST one in the Drink @ The Great American Ballpark!!
Maybe i'll use a modified roster and sign Ruth or Mantle or maybe J Gibson, One of those guys just might do it!!!
It'll be one hellava blast though, We're talkin' prolly 600ft or more!
