Pitchers you would pay to watch

In Jayson Stark's latest Rumblings & Grumblings column he talks about a survey polling GM's and scouts around the league about who they would pay to see to pitch, Johan Santana was #1 on the list.

Being from Boston i have been able to see Roger Clemens and Pedro Martinez so non-Red Sox related i have payed to see Santana pitch and also Trevor Hoffman (took a couple of Padres games for that one but it was worth it).

The other pitchers i would pay to see are:
    Jake Peavy
    Dice-k
    Roy Halladay
    Justin Verlander

So who would everyone here pay to see?.

If you were going to rank mine by how much I have paid, Pedro would be #1 by far. Wakefield would probably be #2. He always seems to pitch when i get tickets.

Agree on those! When Jason S was on he was freaking awesome to watch.

I've seen Pedro pitch twice, one he pitched possibly the best game of his career, the other he wasn't very good if I remember right, but he had an 11-0 lead after 2 innings so maybe he wasn't totally focused.

I'm going to try and be there when Clemens makes his first start at Yankee Stadium this year.

Obviously I'd love to see Santana pitch. And I'd like to see a lot of the young guys, King Felix, Liriano, Cain, Weaver, Hughes, etc.

When Zambrano is on, he's good fun to watch, but this year, not so much...

I really like the emotion he shows and he swings a mean stick to boot.

I've been blessed to see some great pitching matchups: i've seen carpenter and Livan Hernadaz, when both were cy young candidates the first year they changed to the nats, mulder verse clemens, when Mulder threw 10 inning, also seen zambrono, wainright, and many more in recent history. I can't remember alot of the other pitchers I seen when I was really younger, but I remember these especially.Matt Morris, Daryle Kile, ect. I would love to see RJ, Santana, Walter Johnson, Felix Hernandaz, ect

Joel Zumaya, even though there's no guarantee to see him when I go to a game (and none at all for the next 3 months).

I always hate this topic, because most of the time you're paying to go a game anyways. So all of us have probably paid to go see crappy pitchers. I've paid to watch Eric Milton pitch, LOL. I dunno, just a pet peeve of mine.

Pedro is just a pleasure to watch- Shea is just amazingly festive when he pitches. I'm sure it was just like that in Fenway too. I can't wait for him to come back.

Santana is right there too- his changeup is worth the price of admission.

Only other guy for me is Mark Prior when healthy- he just makes it look too easy.

I got to see Felix in the last regular season game his rookie season, two years ago. That was pretty cool, except he pitched OK, and got no run support. I definitely need to make it out there to Seattle this summer to see him again.

Others I want to see pitch are Santana, Dontrelle Willis, and Greg Maddux.
