Re: What players have been the biggest surprises this year?
i agree with the person who said damion easley...that guy has been flat out ridiculous in late-game plate appearances.
as far as my team, the rockies, not many surprises. jason hirsh is doing well for a rookie pitching in a rough environment; troy tulowitzki has been good in late-game situations and has an absolute cannon for an arm at short....holliday and helton are producing like always.
as for disappointments, jeff francis has not been good (although he has picked it up a bit lately); the entire bullpen minus brian fuentes is god-awful; garrett atkins is struggling mightly and may end up being traded to LAA before the deadline; and last but not least, chris iannetta, who was a potential ROY candidate, has been hitting below the mendoza line for the entire season thus far.
