Re: I think this game has the most to look forward

ASB biggest flaw is one of excitement, or lack there of in my opinion.

In the past, the game has had no flash, been methodically paced, and even the most exciting of baseball plays(like a triple) would be treated as every other play in the game.

I hope it has improved, but all the videos I have seen to have remained very much the same. I guess we'll know in a few weeks.

I'm looking forward to this game. I hope the gameplay was improved. i really don't care much about the extra features, but as long as they have it there for me to bid my time when i'm not playing franchise (i've played the trivia game a bunch of times when i was just wasting my time).

Lack of excitement and the effect.
Even watching the pitching/batting interface of MVP had me more "excited" than actually playing last years ASBB.

Re: I think this game has the most to look forward

I can't wait...I've already purchased my copy of ASB 2004, ready to pick it up the 26th. I loved the game last year, and its going to be better this year, with tons of options that the first guy posted here, and more realistic batting and scoring...improved AI..this game will rock..I hope everyone tries it first, so they can feel it out. No question this game is for me. I contemplated MVP, but ASB just has too many franchise options, and thats what I love to play. I refuse to buy a sega game, I hate their games, their menus and gameplay alwasy seem *** backwards to me. As far as High Heat goes, I think I saw better graphics on my nintendo. Looks like they painted the game with bright neon colors...I've never seen grass as bright flourscent green as they show them to me. And the dirt, geez, looks like someone is shining a 600,000 watt bulb on it, its so bright. The games colors and graphics are just cartoonish. I could care less about the entire minor league system HH has. I don't need to grow grey hairs and develop ulcers trying to manage 3 farm teams and a major league team as well. ASB's 2 15 man minor league rosters are perfect for me. And those stadiums, are so great...I feel like I'm watching a real game on TV sometimes. To those who say ASB lacks excitment, or is too melow...thats why baseball games are the only sporting event I goto...they're relaxing, I can sit, enjoy a relaxing game of baseball, drink some beer...forget my stress at work, and cheer for a double, homerun, try and catch a foul ball every now and then...I don't want to be a crazy maniac for 9 innings. Rock on ASB!

You may have seen better graphics on Nintendo but to find better realism you'd have to actually physically play the game of baseball.

Re: I think this game has the most to look forward

What I believe most are refering to is it lacks baseball excitement. Not excitement in general. The gameplay to me is just not exciting to the eyes. It was a bland playing game last year. I describe it as watching a black and white movie that has been colorized.
In any case I will be getting WSBB and MVP and renting ASBB, just in case.
