    Fenway Question

Working on getting tickets for a game I'm going to this summer and after going to a game in Fenway last year (and sitting in the Grandstand seats) one of my main goals is to not sit in little wooden seats. So, my questions are...

    - Are the little wooden seats only in GS, or are they other places?

    - I'm looking at trying to find tickets somewhere between 101-104 & 93...those ok? I know I'll have to turn my head to the left to watch the game but given my budget and I don't want to sit in the bleachers I think those are my best bet.

Edit: I have 2 specific sections I'm looking at now...RFB 96 or 1AAA. Any input on either of those?

    Re: Fenway Question

With the exception of the barstool style seats on the monster and the right field roof, all of the seats are the same at Fenway.

RF 96 is a pretty good seat. Again, you're pointed towards the monster but you're pretty close to the field and its not as bad as the grandstand. Section 1 is further away, but you're facing home plate. I've sat in both sections and enjoyed the view, though if I had to choose I'd take 96.

If you can, try to get seats in sections 32 and 33. They're technically grandstand but the wooden seats have been replaced by plastic. They're also considered "Outfield Grandstand" so are only $27. If you can get seats toward the front of either of those sections, you won't find a better view for the price. Only catch is they're "no alcohol seats" but you can always just pour your beers in a coke cup.

You sure about that? I've only been to one game but I remember most of the field box seats being plastic seats...I just remember the GS seats being wooden.

Thanks for the tip Andrew...on my way to look for those sections.

I'm looking at some tickets but am confused by some of the sections on the website I'm looking at buying the tickets from.

For instance, there's a listing for "25 Box 143" Row "MM". The listing says it's a loge box so I'm guessing it's loge box 143 but if so what does the 25 Box mean? Most all of the other listings for loge box on the site I'm looking just say something like "Loge 151" when it's a loge box.

They list them that way to make it easier to find your seats believe it or not. The grandstand sections are alot easier to find that loge box, so they list the grandstand section that the box is in front of. If you look HERE you can see that Box 143 is right in front of Grandstand 25.

If it's ebay or something, I would confirm that the seats are actually in 143 though, not 25. 25 has the wooden seats.

One thing, be prepared for a horrendous physical experience. Other than that, walking up that ramp and seeing the field come into view is one of the best moments I've ever had. It never loses its touch either.

Good info....and I guess it kinda makes sense.

I'm getting them from a broker's site (have a gift certificate for $100 off) and they say loge box on the site but I was confused by the number in front of the actual section.

Thanks for your help....going to buy them now!
