    Kevin Slowey making MLB debut

Looks like the Twins will finally call him up to start the game tomorrow night. Throughout AAA this year he has a 57/5 K/BB ratio.

I am excited to see this kid pitch. He is supposedly a Radke like pitcher with a little more speed to his fastball. I am not too sure what else he throws. We need him to at least be serviceable for the rest of the year.

Terry Ryan is largely to thank for that. We have Garza down there yet as well. There isn't too much in the way of hitting to look forward to unfortunately.

Parmelee in 2-3 years, but that's about it.

If Minnesota could hold on to their hitters, this wouldn't be a problem...

What do you mean? The only hitter that I would think we regret letting go of is David Ortiz. He was injured all of the time and took some of the ugliest cuts I have ever seen so I was happy he was cut. He also didn't like our philosophy at the plate which in retrospect seems to have been majorily hindering him.

Well Slowey looked decent last night in going six innings and giving up 1 run. He definitely had nerves but worked out of a few jams which was good to see. I am excited to see his next start when he shouldn't be as nervous.

Be glad that Kevin Towers said no to a Pierzynski/Peavy trade back in 2004. Of course the Twins ended up with Liriano, Nathan, and Bonser, but you know...
