Re: MLB All-Star game voting thread
Hes actually second right now. Holliday and Bonds are my top two picks, and the third is up in the air between Soriano, Griffey, and Rowand IMO.Comment

Re: MLB All-Star game voting thread
Man.. these ballots are disgusting. To see Garciaparra have almost as many votes as Fielder at 1B is hilarious. Moises Alou ahead of Holliday.. Bay..? Isn't this game determining the home field advantage... or was that only a test? Anyhow.. here's how I voted
AL
1B - Morneau
2B - Polanco
SS - Jeter
3B - ARod
C - Posada
OF - Ordonez
OF - Hunter
OF - Guerrero
NL
1B - Fielder
2B - Utley
SS - H. Ramirez
3B - Cabrera
C - Martin
OF - Holliday
OF - C. Lee
OF - BondsI do because I can, I can because I want, I want because you say I can'tComment

Re: MLB All-Star game voting thread
My first time through voting, I actually voted for Griffey over Lee. However, I decided to vote again and split the vote. I just had to vote for Bonds because it's in SF and I am a Giants fan afterall.I do because I can, I can because I want, I want because you say I can'tComment

Re: MLB All-Star game voting thread
Holliday has to be the most underrated player in baseball. He's quietly (very, very quietly I might add) putting up monster numbers and is probably the best outfielder in the National League right now.Comment

Re: MLB All-Star game voting thread
Totally agreed. The votes are a joke. Too driven in the favour of big market teams. Nice to see Polanco at the top though.
My vote:
AL
1B - Morneau
2B - Polanco
3B - ARod
SS - Peralta
C - Martinez
OF - Guerrero, Hunter, Ordonez
Write-in - Aaron Hill
NL
1B - Fielder
2B - Utley
3B - Cabrera
SS - Hardy
C - Martin
OF - Bay, Griffey, Lee
Write-in - HollidayComment

Re: MLB All-Star game voting thread
I have the same thing except I'm gonna show some love to Eric Byrnes for that third OF spot instead of Lee. He is having a great season under the radar.Comment

Re: MLB All-Star game voting thread
Why couldn't this Eric Byrnes have come out when he got traded to Baltimore...it's amazing how he's been able to rebound after a horrible 2005 season (not just with the Orioles). I might have to give him a vote or two.Comment

Re: MLB All-Star game voting thread
When I vote I go off of just this years stats but on ESPN radio I heard some guys adding in last years 2nd half. I have never considered doing that but do any of you?
I have been thinking and people should have to pass a test of baseball knowledge to vote or just plain give the vote to the players, they know what is going on. I'm just as sick as the next guy of seeing undeserving players in the all-star game. But then again that may be a dumb idea.
I could not decide between Ramirez and Reyes at SS when I was picking. That is the toughest decision out there. Reyes numbers are better on the surface but look at what he has to workl with.Comment
